Roman Resolution Advisory
When the normal channels aren't working, the next move matters.
Independent assessment, resolution strategy and strategic communication for difficult matters involving companies and organizations.
For individuals, professionals and businesses facing consequential situations where the financial, business or relationship impact justifies a more deliberate approach.

When an independent perspective can help
Some matters are straightforward and can be handled independently. Others require legal or specialized professional assistance.
This practice is focused on the space between—when the matter is consequential enough to warrant independent assessment and strategy, but legal representation is not presently what the situation requires.
The normal channels aren't working.
You've made reasonable attempts to resolve the matter, but meaningful progress has stopped.
The explanations don't seem to fit what has happened.
Different representatives, departments or organizations may be providing incomplete, changing or apparently inconsistent information.
Too much is at stake to keep guessing.
The financial, business or relationship consequences justify a more deliberate approach.
The relationship still matters.
You need to address the problem without unnecessarily damaging an important business or organizational relationship.
You're considering another escalation.
Before taking the next step, you want someone outside the situation to assess where the matter actually stands.
What I Do
A deliberate approach to difficult matters
I work with individuals, professionals and businesses facing difficult matters involving companies or organizations where the financial, business or relationship consequences justify a more deliberate approach.
I begin by independently assessing what has happened, what the available information supports, and what may be preventing resolution.
When further action is warranted, I develop a focused resolution strategy and help shape the communication needed to carry it forward.
The objective is not escalation for its own sake, but a well-reasoned path toward an appropriate resolution.
Initial Assessment
Every engagement begins with an Initial Assessment
Before strategy comes assessment.
The Initial Assessment is a structured review designed to understand the situation before recommending what should happen next.
Through preliminary review and a substantive consultation, the history is reconstructed, important information is distinguished from assumptions or interpretation, material gaps are identified, and both the client's position and the organization's response are considered.
The primary obstacle may involve information, process, authority, positioning, communication, conflicting expectations—or a substantive disagreement.
What you receive
- the current position;
- key observations;
- material information gaps or uncertainties;
- the independent assessment;
- the recommended direction.
The recommendation may be to continue independently, obtain additional information, develop a resolution strategy, consult another professional or attorney, or conclude that further pursuit is not presently justified.
An Initial Assessment does not presume that a larger engagement is necessary.
Request an Initial AssessmentThe Approach
A structured process, not a predetermined answer
Understand the situation, establish the most reliable account possible, distinguish evidence from assumption, and determine what the available information reasonably supports.
When further strategic work is warranted:
Develop the resolution strategy, communicate with purpose, treat the organization's response as new information, and adapt as the situation develops.
Independent
Independent judgment. Focused on the client's interests.
Independent does not mean neutral between the parties. I am engaged by and work with the client.
It means the assessment does not begin with a predetermined conclusion. The client's understanding is considered alongside the available information, previous communication and the organization's apparent position.
The purpose is to provide advice grounded in what the situation reasonably supports—even when that means recommending a different path than originally expected.
About
Experience behind the approach
My approach draws on experience in management, internal audit and resolving difficult organizational situations.
In management roles, I was frequently involved in conflicts, difficult business interactions and transactions that were not proceeding as expected. Internal audit work further developed a disciplined approach to understanding processes, testing assumptions, identifying gaps and examining how organizations function.
I have also applied these capabilities independently in complex interactions with major organizations and in helping individuals and small businesses work through difficult situations.
I hold a Master's degree in Technology Management, with study encompassing management, organizational structure, systems and process thinking.
Together, these experiences form the foundation of an advisory approach built around assessment, judgment, resolution strategy and deliberate communication.
A Focused Advisory Practice
A focused space between handling it yourself and legal representation
Some matters can be handled effectively without professional assistance, including with readily available AI tools. Others require an attorney or another specialist.
This practice is designed for the space between—difficult, consequential matters where independent assessment and resolution strategy can add meaningful value.
The work does not provide:
And it is not a letter-writing service.
The value begins with understanding the matter—not simply producing another response.
How to Begin
Start with a brief screening
The first step is a short online screening designed to determine whether the matter appears appropriate for this type of advisory work.
You'll be asked for basic information about what happened, who is involved, what is at stake, what you've already done, the outcome you're seeking, and any important deadlines or legal proceedings.
If the matter appears suitable, you'll receive information about the Initial Assessment, including scope, fee and scheduling.
Initial Screening
Please provide the information below. Your submission will be sent confidentially to Roman Resolution Advisory.
Fees
Clear scope. Fixed fee.
Initial Assessments are offered for a fixed fee established before the engagement begins.
The fee includes preliminary review within the defined scope, the assessment consultation and a written Assessment Summary.
Resolution Strategy Engagements are separately scoped and priced only when further work appears appropriate.
There is no requirement to continue beyond the Initial Assessment.
Before the next move, understand where the matter stands.
If an important matter involving a company or organization is becoming difficult to resolve, a brief screening can help determine whether an Initial Assessment is appropriate.
